I felt Francesca Woodman would be a great reference to the media of Death in Photography, because her fleeting self-portrait images create a sense of absence and presence that is only available through her eyes. This piece titled, " Untitled, Providence, Rhode Island, 1976," I thought was a great example showing both principles of this theory. I also found this image attached to a NY Times article depicting her artwork and the story of her short lived career, before she died at age 22. Untitled, Providence, Rhode Island, 1976,

After seeing some of her photos from the series, Evidence, I was really intrigued into what else she was producing and came across her series, Skin Landscapes, and found it to be quite abstract and also disturbing. I made this photo as an entry into the genre of "death," as an ever changing concept that can be interpreted multiple ways. The first interpretation is quite literal as depicted in this scenario.

In the game Outlast 2, you are only given a camcorder, and you must traverse through an unknown territory filled with hostile heretics that are lurking around every corner. It is a great thrilling experience, while also adding to a spiritual, religious narrative that questions beliefs to the core of the individual. This is OUTLAST 2

In the article titled, "Your Brain "Shields" Itself from the Existential Threat of Death," it claims to research the manifestation of why our brain cannot conjure the idea of "complete annihilation" for ourselves. Yasemin Saplakoglu states, "It's also true that everyone who ever lives will die, so it would make sense that your brain should be able to "predict" that you, too, will die someday.
